What to Do In the Lou: Fourth of July
What better way to celebrate America’s birthday than to catch some free, affordable family fun? If you are staying in the St. Louis area for the holiday, here are some things to do in the Lou:
2017 VP Parade—Saturday, July 1st
On Saturday July 1st, enjoy the Veiled Prophet Parade, which starts at 9:30 a.m. in downtown St. Louis (starts at Broadway and Market just west of the Old Courthouse, then travels west on Market Street ending at Market and 20th near Union Station). There will be dozens of participants in the parade, including marching bands, floats, balloons, clowns, military honor guards and more. The theme for this year's parade is "Great Things Are Happening."
Fair St. Louis—Sunday, July 2nd-Tuesday, July 4th
What yells freedom more than the word “FREE”? Fair St. Louis is going on July 2nd-4th in Forest Park. There will be music and a fireworks show. In addition, a Family Festival Zone will be located along Lagoon Drive on the west side of the Grand Basin. Kiddos can paint, create fun art, meet members of the Purina Incredible Dog Team, and participate in experiments from the Magic House. For more information, check out their website.
Cardinal’s Game—Saturday, July 1st-Tuesday, July 4th
